Artist, designer, and educator Alyssa Lang sits in front of a fountain in Ojai, California. The lettering for artist designer educator" is done in calligraphy.

These past few years have provided an opportunity for introspective exploration into the type of work I really want to be doing and to redirect the impact I want to be making in art and design and in my community. As a maker at heart, I need to be engaged regularly in working with materials and creating physical objects. This creative engagement is what energizes me and helping others through that exploration and practice is an essential piece of that endeavor.
